shooting the rapids on one of the wild and scenic rivers, or mountain biking in
the dense forested trails along the Scenic Columbia River Highway.
Sailing in Cascade Locks, on the Columbia River, is rated one
of the top places in the US according to experts (see article). Whether you
participate, or enjoy being a spectator, this is the place to be. The Columbia
Gorge Racing Association stays busy each season hosting sailors from around the
world, competing for top honors.
Fishing may lure you to the region. Salmon, sturgeon and bass
are all waiting to get hooked on the line. Custom rods are available locally as
well as bait and guide services.
The wild and scenic Sandy River is an excellent river to
either kayak or raft. Enjoy wildlife viewing or just experience the ride down
